Armchair Riot

Armchair Riot are an Australian alternative rock band from Bunbury, WA. Formed in 2019, Irish singer/songwriter Glenn Breslin hooked up with Paul Howard (drums) and Ian Thomson (bass) to demo some songs. Shortly after, they were joined by guitarist and Triple J Unearthed winner Jason Rechichi. All members come with a formidable history in the music world. They have developed a dark sonic cocktail that is several toxic shots of Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana and Sonic Youth mixed with a filthy twist of Nick Cave and Grant Lee Buffalo.

 

Upon perfecting a full set of original songs, the quartet started gigging locally. The chemistry between them and the visceral crowd reactions gave them enough fuel to feel a future.

 

They started recording their debut self produced album at the end of 2020 in guitarist Jason’s home studio. The process has seen the band record, erase, and re-record just to serve the songs and have something they are proud of.   The recent release of their latest single "Hydro" has taken them to the next level, reaching charts and radios nationwide, garnering support in national and international publications.
